Celebration of Cravat Day
Did you know that cravat has its own day?
Cravat as a symbol of dignity and self-awerness, people from all over the world have worn through centuries. Considering that the word "cravat" has roots in Croatian language, in 2008 Croatian Parliament showed special honor to the cravat and declared 18th October as The Cravat Day. Since than, Cravat Day is marked every year in Croatia and is accepted in the other countries all over the world.
Cravat must be worn proudly and by socializing with the others, we remember values represented by wearing cravat - human dignity and self-awerness, a moment of ceremony and celebration, success and the business spirit. The cravat "binds together" freedom and responsibility. It encourages us to communicate more aware of our own dignity and dignity of others as a good foundation for the future.
